Will be better to add ability to enable or disable overlay (backdrop). There are cases when we create a call to action that appears when we scroll to a certain element and in order not to distract or irritate the user – a modal window appears somewhere on the side of the content that attracts attention but does not irritate. This would also remove the extra HTML element from the DOM.
