DUPLICATE: Woocommerce template empty basket doesn't appear to work?

Bricks Version: 1.5.6
Browser: Brave
OS: macOS
URL: https://ianforest.co.uk/indigo/product-category/paper-flowers/

I have a bricks template of type “WooCommerce - Empty Cart” and its condition is set to “Default: Empty Cart”.

Logic tells me that this template should be displayed when the basket is emptied. Is that right?

If so, this template doesn’t show when the basket is emptied. I’ve tried this on a number of other bricks/woo sites and they have the same problem so it’s not an issue unique to my install. Here are two other examples…

To test, go to the site linked above, add a product to the cart, go to the cart (the main cart not the slide-in one), delete that product and nothing is shown other than the header and footer.

Additionally, the website scrolls up a little under the Wordpress admin bar if you are logged in.

Also, when you then go back to the shop and add another item to the cart you get two WooCommerce messages, one telling you that the basket was emptied and another underneath telling you that a product has been added.

From a user-experience point of view, this is pretty backward.

As another sidenote, the buttons for viewing the basket and checking out on the slide-in mini cart do not honor the button styling as set up in the theme styling options…

Thanks for reading!

I was just trying to debug this very issue also!

If you go to an empty basket then the empty basket template shows correctly.

But if you remove an item from your basket so it is then empty, you just get a blank page.

Also, regarding the notifications, if you remove product X from your basket, go back to the shop, add another product and then go to your basket, you get a notification saying Product X has been removed.

That is going to be really confusing for people because they could visit many pages before returning to their basket. But when they do, they get told a product they removed 10 minutes ago has just been removed.

This is especially confusing if they add the same product back:

Let’s say they’re deciding between a variety of products, add some to their basket. Then they remove the products having decided on Product X.

You then end up with a basket that shows Product X in the basket, with a notification above saying “Product X removed”!!!
