DUPLICATE: Reset Filter active when navigating pages

The reset filter button gets activated as soon as the user navigates to another page.
In all my years working in webdesign I never came across a website that considers pagination as a filter that needs to have a reset. And rightfully so I think.

I don’t see how this is intuitive or expected behavior at all. It is confusing and useless in almost any imaginable case. The only thing that might be helpful is a button that lets you navigate with one click to the last and to the first page.

At the moment the “Reset filter” button shows up as soon as one navigates to page 2. This does not make sense and I think this is only helpful or desired in very very rare cases.

In another bug report – that is WIP until today (WIP: Reset Filter - Pagination element page 1 should considered as no active filter) – it was said that this is intended behavior. I really don’t see what the intention is here.

Since I’m working on a page with a few filters and pagination this bothers me quite a bit and I would kindly ask for a detachment between the reset filter button and the pagination – at least, as long as there is no clear advantage that I don’t see.

Hi @jonaswd ,

As the forum thread indicates, “WIP” means we are working on it.

Kindly use the same thread for the conversation/discussion.

I am closing this thread now. Thanks.
