WIP: Reset Filter - Pagination element page 1 should considered as no active filter

Hi bricks team,

Not sure if this is a bug, or expected behavior. Because I compare it with Jet smart filters…

If we have activated the Hide if no active filter option in the Filter-Reset element, the Reset button will appear in the front-end by navigating through different pages (using the pagination element). Please see the attached link.

Thanks for checking with us.
It’s the expected behavior for the Reset button “Hide if no active filter” option in Bricks.
We considered the Pagination element as one of the active filters as well if it’s targeting the same query.

Hence, the Reset button will be showing when you navigate to other pages (page = N applied to the target query)

Clicking the Reset button (Filter - Submit) will be able to remove this page = N query argument from the target query as well.

One more thing related to this topic…

If we go from page 1 to page 2 or X in the list of products, the Reset button is displayed, which is not a problem. But if we return to page 1, the Reset button is still active.
This works well in radio and checkbox filters. For example, if we activate a filter and click on the same option again, it will act like Reset.

Hello, if you consider pagination as filter element probably there should be option for active filter prefix or suffix. So we could modify that for end user to understand why there is reset button. Also maybe it would be cool if reset button would be hidden based on Exclude filter IDs as with active filter element. What do you think of this?

Also I think would be better to have Include Filters IDs as well. Sometimes we need to show active filter just for specific filter. If we have more than one it is insane to place all other filters to exclude them.

I’ve noticed this thread is marked as WIP but for me bricks 1.11.1.1 page 1 is no longer considered as active filter. I assume it is solved?
