, I think that there’s one quite major feature missing from the Filter / Sort functionality, which is being able to choose in which order the terms to filter may appear on the front-end.
Now, by default, they are ordered alphabetically and descending. But in many cases, that’s not the option that fits best with the project needs.
This has been posted in the Forum in the past, but never got any answer. Here are some old posts:
I am not sure if this is something easy or not to implement, but being able to order terms on Query loops, it makes obvious that we need to have the option to order terms on filters, too.
Now I have a case where the term “Others” (which in my language starts with A) is showing up first, although is the less important and the term with fewer posts. Obviously, the client wants the term “Others” as the last one, which makes total sense!
Is it possible that you take this improvement for the filters into account?
