I’m having trouble getting wpDataTables Master Detail merge tags to render. They work if I put them in the wordpress editor, but no luck if using the bricks shortcode/text/rich text/code elements. I can get shortcodes that use {} or to render fine, but wpDataTables Master Detail Add-On uses %% (example: %firstName%). I tried putting the merge tag in a custom field, and then using the custom field’s shortcode (had to do that with my old builder, Thrive) and that’s not working either. My understanding is that bricks doesn’t filter through wordpress’ the_content() filter, but I can’t find any info on how to get around that.
