Hi,
I’m using Bricks in combination with WPML to translate a website from german to english. I’ve installed the media translation add-on to add translations for images and documents. It works fine for the images, but the translated documents don’t show up on the translated pages.
I’m using a text-link element and the link to media option to link to the pdf. Therre is also no option to edit the document URL in the advanced translation editor.
Thank you for your help!
Kind regards,
Simone
I’ve used the external link as a quick fix. But it would be nice if the “link to media” would be translatable as well and work together with the media translation add-on.
Hi Simone,
When you’re in the advanced translation editor, can you try searching for “https://”. This should show the URLs on the page that are hidden by default by WPML.
Hi Charaf
Thank you for your response. This only worked when I switched to using the “external link” option. (my quick fix) With “link to media” the URL did not show up in the translation editor, when searching for “https://”.
@charaf anything new on this topic?
We have the same case where we select a direct media attachment inside bricks. The media is not automatically changed on the translated page neither do i have the option to select another media in the advanced translaion editor.
In my opinion, it should be easily possible to automatically lookup the translated post id of the original target, if one is set.
Still a work-in-progress but yes you’re right it should be possible to retrieve the translated attachment.
