WIP: Typing problem while searching in filter-search element

Hi bricks team,

If we type the desired phrase into the search-filter element at normal speed, it seems that part of the phrase is automatically deleted. This is actually related to the Ajax operation.

But if you try the wp grid builder search filter here, there will be no problem even if you type at a slow speed.

thank you, I can replicate the issue. Not every time, but if I type with a certain speed, then I can replicate it.

I created an internal task for it and we will update this topic once we implement the fix.

Noticed the same problem. After about 1 second, if you type slowly, the search starts and anything entered after the search starts is deleted.

Perhaps it could help if we could configure the delay or lock the input after the search has started. Or even better would be to cancel the current search when a new input is recognised.

I’ve checked the local task for this and from what I see, the fix should be included in the next update, if all goes as planned :wink:
