This is a duplicate response in previous email…but never heard back, so opening a new bug topic

Ive found a problem with the Password Protect Template. It’s def an odd one:
I was reviewing with my client and came to the conclusion that we need several posts to be independently password protected.

So I changed the Password Source settings (within template settings) to use the ‘Post Password’.

I tested the 2 dummy posts I made, giving each of them a unique password with the post itself.
Works great!

Except for one thing…the post title disappears! (Should be in the red area on the left like the other pages.)

If I revert back to the password source as ‘Template Password’…it shows up again. If I use 'Post and Template Password’ it doesn’t show either.

It’s very peculiar.

The Post Title is actually being called out via a Title Area Template. Ive tried using the actual Post Title element and dynamically within a Heading element {post-title}. Either way, the same issue. I i replace the post-title with an ACF field dynamic shortcode, it works fine.

Whats more peculiar,

Within the single-client-post template, ive added another Heading text element and Post Title element, just to test it within another section of the actual post template (vs a template within a template). Neither show up on the front end…but do within the editor.
I can grant you access again need be…please advise.
Hope You guys can Help!

Thank you in advance!!

K

Hi @kmhdesign,

I just checked, and the last message in our conversation was from me letting you know that the login details you provided didn’t work. Could you please try emailing us again, and then let me know here once you’ve sent it? That way, I can double-check and make sure it hasn’t ended up in our spam folder.

just sent the temporary login link.

Hi @kmhdesign,

Thank you for sharing access! I was now able to replicate the same issue that you had on your setup locally and have added this to our internal bug tracker.
