WIP: Mobile Nav Menu Submenu Not Expanding on Click in Bricks 2.0 RC

Browser: Chrome / Firefox (latest)

Summary:
In the Bricks 2.0 RC, the mobile submenu dropdown fails to open on click. This issue is not present in the stable version 1.12.4.

Steps to Reproduce:

On a site running Bricks 2.0 RC, create a blank page.
Add a default “Nav Menu” element and assign a menu with parent/child items.
View the page on mobile.
Click the submenu toggle icon.
Expected Behavior:
The submenu should expand to show the child items.

Actual Behavior:
The submenu does not expand.

Crucial Confirmation:
To verify this is a bug specific to the new version, I downgraded my site back to the latest stable version of Bricks (1.12.4.). With the exact same setup and no other changes, the mobile submenu works perfectly on version 1.12.4. When I update back to 2.0 RC, the bug reappears.

This confirms the issue is a regression in the 2.0 RC release.

Tested in latest Safari. Same behavior. There seems to be no event handler assigned to the arrow (button). See screenshot.

Hi guys,

yep, I can replicate the same locally. Thank you. We changed a few things on how we handle the clicks in the menu, and seems like we overlooked this one.
I’ve created a local bug task.

Thank you,
Matej
