Happens in Bricks 1.9.2. I built a template for a page where there’s a hero image I have, that pull from the featured image {featured_image} and while the image displays fine on the front end, it doesn’t display in the back end like so. This isn’t a huge issue but it’s one I’ve noticed on a couple of Bricks websites we’ve built.
Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for your report!
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Have you selected a page/post in the populate content settings of the template that has a featured image? If so, it should be displayed. Otherwise, no image can be displayed if there is none.
Best regards,
timmse
Thanks for the response @timmse - Well, this is interesting. So, for one-off templates you can’t do a populate content like you can for a post-type template. In my case, I’m using a one-off template and it was showing this in the editor: https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/imgcaps/Explore_Free_Admission_at_Rancho_Los_Cerritos_Hours_Tickets__More_2023-11-10_13-01-06.jpg - However, when I clicked on the element, and then selected the class on which the bg image {featured_image} is set, the image suddenly showed up. And it appears that the other images now show, too. So perhaps not a bug but a quirk? Anyway, not a big issue here.
Aaaah, now I understand what you mean and can reproduce the problem. Basically, the class styles should be displayed naturally without having to select the class beforehand.
This guy gets it. Yeah, not a big deal at all, was just confused is all. Quirk/bug ¯_(ツ)_/¯
“The guy” would have understood it earlier if the necessary information (style on a class) had been included in the original report
Oh for sure. I should have provided more details. Thanks for the help.
