WIP: Custom CSS child combinator (">" greater than character) is changed to HTML entity

Browser: Firefox 136.0
OS: macOS 14.6.1
Bricks: 1.12.3
URL: https://try.bricksbuilder.io/tff00fff/

I have a Try Bricks site in use to test some features for an upcoming project. I have a Nav Menu element in the header. When using the > (greater than symbol) in the Custom CSS field to select child elements, it is changed to the equivalent HTML > entity after saving. If I refresh the builder this is reflected in the Custom CSS field. See screenshots below.

This selector used to work; I used it on another Nav Menu element awhile back that is now broken in the same way. It seems like a bug so I’ve marked it as such, but maybe I’m missing something?

Before saving:

After saving and refreshing builder:

Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for your report!

I reproduced the issue on try.bricksbuilder.io and added it to our bug tracker. This is probably due to tightened security measures in the try installations, as I cannot reproduce it in a “real” installation.

Best regards,
timmse
