WIP: Change behaviour when my.bricksbuilder.io is unavailable

We are currently experiencing the situation that we cannot edit our website because Bricks tries to verify our (valid) license key, but https://my.bricksbuilder.io is down.

This is not acceptable. If the validation service is unavailble, Bricks should continue working for at least 24 hours.

Yes! We are also facing this issue currently on multiple client sites where we cannot proceed with changes. Perhaps a fallback license validation server might be a more stable solution compared to an extended grace period.

IMO 24 hours isn’t enough. It should call home every 72 hours - there’s no need for it to be pinging the server more than that for me.

Thanks for the feedback.

Our licensing server is back up. Bricks is already designed to handle these outages gracefully, but this instance hit a specific edge case that blocked the expected fallback logic.

Having your workflow blocked is unacceptable. We have identified the cause and are hardening the logic to ensure the builder remains functional regardless of our server status.

Appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
