Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.
In my builder access settings I’ve made a custom option called “clients”. I want my clients to only be able to edit headings and rich text, which I select from the settings with the check-boxes. I do not select basic text because I use that for copy I don’t want them to touch on the page.
The bug: When I login as an editor with “client” permissions assigned, I’m able to click or select and edit both rich text and basic text elements, instead of just rich text elements.
Thanks for your time.
Hi @aLeighLikeMe ,
May I know which version you are using? Bricks 2.0, as per the tag you used when creating this thread?
I just tested following your setup, and it just works fine. (Bricks 2.3.7)

Jenn
Hello, it’s BricksVersion: 2.3.7.
Screen recording here: https://milcdesign.co.za/clients/Screen%20Recording%202026-06-18%20at%2003.02.45.mov. You can see in the video I edit headings and rich text which is correct but I’m also able to edit basic text and even a button - some times links as well, which shouldn’t happen. Using Safari to login to my editor account.
Hi @aLeighLikeMe ,
Thank you so much. I just edited the topic to indicated it’s editable in the canvas.
Recorded in the bug tracker.

Jenn
