Who said you can't build great WooCommerce sites with Bricks? https://coveredincolour.co.uk

I’m thrilled to introduce you to my latest creation – a WooCommerce site built entirely with Bricks. Despite what the naysayers might claim, it is possible to craft a killer eCommerce site with this builder, and I’ve got the receipts to prove it.

This project has been my digital playground for the past couple of months. It’s packed with everything you’d expect from a modern online store – dynamic product pages, seamless checkout, custom user accounts and a fully custom account area, and, of course, a small dash of animation.

My client hasn’t got many products in at the moment, but they’re waiting on a big shipment.

The biggest challenge was getting my custom ‘Dropdown variations or radio buttons’ to work on the product page with the quick add to cart being on the same page. The buttons also checks the current variants stock levels against the items in the cart and disable themselves accordingly via AJAX upon a successful add to cart.

I’m still tweaking things here and there (because let’s be real, is a website ever truly “finished”?). There’s always room for a few more features and refinements, especially with the pace at which Bricks is evolving.

So, there you have it – a WooCommerce site, built with Bricks. Have a gander and let me know what you think! Any feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

Cheers!

Your ecommerce site looks great, I’m sure the client is happy with it. Are you using a plugin for the checkout process? Which hosting service is it on? It seems to be slowing down the initial load time a bit.

Looks good, but needs major optimization (or a hosting upgrade) - that LCP is the stuff of nightmares!

I’m using CheckoutWC for the checkout process as this saved me a lot of time and looks great. As for the performance, because WooCommerce and caching works horrible together due to the mini cart and other issues, it is pretty much non existent. If you know how to configure litespeed cache so it works properly please pet me know :muscle:

Yeah agreed, checkout looks great.
On my GF ecommerce i used combination of WP super Cache and LiteSpeed cache(2nd preset). It works nicely, on phone i got 70 100 100 100 and on desktop its 100. I think it would help, but i belive you got half of the problem because of your hosting provider.
Im curious also about product page, product care was made with ACF?
It looks pretty great and im not sure how would i go about it.

The main issue for me was the cart counter and wishlist counter wouldn’t be correct with the cache active. I may have to ditch these to improve performance.

Hey Chris,
I was wondering if you could share how you implemented the Trending Product Slider on the homepage (Nested Slider + Query Loop)? Specifically, I’m curious about the settings that make the tiles initially overflow to the right and then slide to the left, remaining visible outside of the container as you scroll through them. I’ve been struggling to get that part working.

Thanks a lot!

wow, can u tell me what method u set the quick view popup animation?

No matter how I set it up, I can’t achieve your effect.
when i click backdrop or knock “esc”, the popup will disappear immediately.
