First of all, I do not know where to post this question. If I am in the wrong place here, apologies. I’m happy to move it to whichever forum is appropriate for this.
I am witnessing sudden jumps on my Bricks site on mobile breakpoint. I do not know what is causing it -it’s not a scroll snap thing, because I’m not using that.
Behaviour as shown in the video: I’m scrolling down, like any site visitor would, and at some points, my page just jumps back up again without me even touching the screen. I scroll back down to the point where I want to read three cards and as I’m looking at that, up it goes again!
Just try to scroll down calm and easy; it won’t be long before the jumping starts.
If it was jumping down, I’d think along the lines of ‘content shift’, but this is jumping up. This is not only annoying the hell out of me, I also don’t know what is causing this.
Can someone shed a light on this please? I would really appreciate that!
The testimonial slider most likely causes it. Since both the slider and the layout are from Frames, it’s best to contact Frames support, if it’s the culprit.
To test if it is, remove it from the page and see if it’s still jumping.
On my mobile I am using Android 14 & Chrome 130.0.6723.102, but I also see it happening in the browser here on my desktop (win11 Enterprise & Chrome 129.0.6668.71).
I don’t know how you know, but your ‘guess’ is completely right -after removing the testimonial slider my page no longer jumps. I’ll take this further up with the ACSS/Frames team.
I really want to thank you -it’s been driving me bonkers, and has cost me quite a few hours. I don’t know what made you think in the direction of that slider, but I wish I had thought of it as well. Then I wouldn’t have had to bother you and post my question here in the wrong place.
I also noticed it on the desktop when reaching the footer, so I removed section by section in the dev tools and tried to force it by scrolling “hard” into the footer until it disappeared.
