WAIT: WPML Media Translation Original Image added to secondary language instead of source

  1. Added media to a source language page.
  2. Opened WPML Media Translation
  3. Media source language is actually the secondary language - prompting me to translate it to the source language.

Makes it impossible to actually translate media.

Hi @manuelwill,

I couldn’t replicate the issue locally.

Did you select media that was already in the media library, or did you upload new media to the WP media library through Bricks?

Through bricks. I selected a component, changed the picture. I believe it even is this way:

1 Editing a page in source language in bricks

2 Selecting a component with an image block

3 Changing image, media library opens

4 Media library is set to secondary language, not even finding pictures that are in the source language

5 When adding an image now, it is added to the secondary language

That might be the reason why therefore in the media translations, the secondary language is set for that new image.

I can’t replicate this step locally :thinking: the media library opens in the current page’s language on my end.

Are you able to replicate the issue with all plugins disabled except WPML active? if so, best if you can share access to help@bricksbuilder.io with a link to this forum thread so we can investigate.
