WAIT: Wp admin bar edit with bricks

Browser: 23.9.1.967 (64-bit)
OS: Windows

Why does the edit with bricks menu disappear on the top panel on some sites? I don’t see such a menu in the settings for enabling and disabling it. What does his conclusion depend on?

1 website - there is a menu

2 website - no menu

Hi Evgeniy,
Thanks so much for your report, that sounds a bit like a how to question

Edit with Bricks is displayed if it is a Bricks post, page, or template that can be edited with Bricks.

Your screenshots, apart from the fact that they are again in Russian (?), do not show in any way what they are.

Best regards,
timmse

To get an answer, switch the interface to English. Also, to ensure that the error is repeated, you need to disable third-party plugins; they may be interfering.

Чтобы получить ответ, переключите интерфейс на английский язык. Так же для достоверности повторения ошибки необходимо отключать сторонние плагины, возможно они мешают.
От себя добавлю, что подобной ошибки я не замечал.

1 website

There is a Home page.

There is a separate template for the Header of the Main page.
There is a separate template for the Main Page Content.

In the menu there is a link to edit the header template …/template/shapka-glavnoj-stranicy/?bricks=run and a link to edit the page template …/template/glavnaya/?bricks=run

The menu is displayed correctly. And it works correctly, the links lead to the right templates.

2 website

The structure is the same as on the first site. But there is no Bricks menu in the panel at all. The panel itself is configured by default without any changes.

If you add elements to the page content template, then the menu appears after that. It has links to content templates, header and footer. It turns out that filling in the content directly affects the menu output in the admin bar.

I created a new page as a test and did not click on “Edit with Bricks”, so it remains a “Gutenberg” page and has no Bricks content. When I view it in the front end, I still see the “Edit with Bricks” entry in the topbar.

As I said, the page does not contain any Bricks elements and has never been edited with Bricks. Accordingly, I can’t reproduce the problem.

Does this occur only in this one installation, or in others as well?

This behavior is present on all sites. I just didn’t have time to write before.

As for Gutenberg, its functionality is completely disabled on all sites, because in practice I don’t need it for work.

As I said, I can’t reproduce the problem, nor do we have any further reports on it. So it seems to be somehow related to your installations, which of course I can’t say anything about from a distance.

Can you send us access data to one of the affected installations and information where exactly the problem occurs by email?
