WAIT: Woocommerce Checkout Page Causing Critical Error on Site w/ Bricks Custom Template Active

Have recently updated Woocommerce in staging for a site build (Version 7.6.1) and there is a compatibility issue with Bricks theme and the Checkout page. When adding a product to the cart, I am able to view the cart without any problem however accessing the /checkout page causes a critical error on site. All other aspects of the site and Woocommerce work as intended except for the checkout. It’s worth noting I a, using a custom templated checkout page using Bricks templates.

I’ve tested by disabling all plugins + keeping the Bricks theme active and the error persists.

I’ve also tested by changing themes to the generic ‘Twenty Twenty-Three’ theme and the checkout works as intended.

I also placed my Checkout template in ‘Draft’ mode, forcing the default look to load, and everything loaded in correctly as intended…however obviously without my design active.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

Hi Stu,
Welcome to the forum, and thanks for reaching out!

Can you tell me exactly what the error message is or take a look at the error logs? Usually, it says pretty much exactly what is causing the error: Debugging in WordPress – WordPress.org Documentation

Which PHP version are you using?
Additionally, you can export the checkout template as a JSON file, so that we can understand the problem. That would be very helpful.

Best regards,
