WAIT: Why isn't my custom brick template for a single WooCommerce product displaying the merchant information with aThemes correctly or the PayPal Smart Button?

We are using a custom bricks template for our single product page and are experiencing some issues with some other plugins we are using, such as aThemes Merchant Merchant WooCommerce Conversion Plugin - aThemes which they assured us that their plugin works with bricks, in some instances it doesn’t seem to work.

For example:

We are using their variation swatch with a bricks custom template but the image doesn’t change when you click on the different colours and sizes. But when you remove the custom template they do work but we don’t have any styling on the page.

I contacted aThemes and this is what they came back with.

They came back to me with the below which isn’t helpful so I was wondering if there was something the forum can come up with to resolve.

Thanks for reaching out.

That’s a compatibility issue with Bricks custom template. I’ll need to add this to our list of improvements/compatibility reviews.

Some of our modules have shortcodes that you can use on the custom templates. Do you have issues with these modules too? For example, you can try to use the Payments Logos shortcode: [merchant_module_payment_logos]

Let me know if there are issues with these too.

We hope this helps.

They don’t have short codes for some of the elements so this doesn’t help with the issue and the page doesn’t look great without it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Silvermark ,

Received your email as well.
Based on your screenshot from the email, seems like you didn’t place WooCommerce Template hooks inside your custom product template.

Please check and follow this article.
