WAIT: Unstable in chrome dev tools

Solved the admin bar issue. Was a unrelated perfmatters script manager issue where I turned off dashicons. Oops.

  1. So, with all plugins disabled with bricks but the admin bar fixed, it still crashes in dev tools / chrome

  2. With twenty twenty five theme and plugins enabled, it’s a very simple website so it’s fine in dev tools, no issues

  3. With bricks installed but all plugins disabled, it still crashes dev tools.

  4. I then turn off code execution, and it still crashes. (makes sense since all of the code was in WP Code box)

Hi @Matej ,

Please check this video: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom - 10 July 2025 | Loom

I also tried in chrome and firefox in incognito mode. After disabling all plugins and custom code in function.php, crash still happens with Edge, but in firefox and chrome it doesn’t appear.

You can also try it in the site in the video. I’ve sent the login credentials. It’s not a live site yet. You can tweak it to your need.

Best Regards,

Rhett

Hi @lynxm,

thank you for extensive testing. I’m slowly running out of ideas on what it could be, without me being able to replicate it, so I’ll ask the rest of the team again.

I’ll let you know if we figure out something.

Thank you.
Matej

2 more videos. The crash happens only in edge and chrome, not in firefox.
Racinghobby.com (V2.0 RC2) and fid-racing.com (1.12.4) are built with Bricks and woocommerce.
Xphili.com is built with Elementor, not a store.

It happens when resizing or editting some (not all) css. It’s easy to replicate the issue at resizing, but issue happening at css editting is not a regular pattern.

The crash also happens this way which I didn’t record. When there are several tabs (I noticed this only in logged in state), if one tab crashes, all other tabs will crash at the same time. Yesterday it happened several times. The next time it happens, I will try to record it.

HI @Newbie,

thank you, yet none of us can replicate it :frowning: One idea is that you can try to turn off graphic acceleration in Chrome and try again:
Settings → System → uncheck " Use graphics acceleration when available" and relunch the Chrome.

Please let me know if you can still replicate it then.

Hi @Matej ,

The graphics acceleration option in my computer was not checked. It may be an unlucky individual case :joy:

Here is another video showing the tabs crashes at the same time at logged in state: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom - 16 July 2025 | Loom

My computer config:
Win10 System
11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz
32.0 GB RAM
477 GB SSD SAMSUNG MZVL2512HCJQ-00BL2, 477 GB SSD Lenovo X800 NVMe M.2 2280s 512G SSD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU (4 GB), Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)

Development Environment: virtual system WSL+ Ubuntu, apache (2.4.58) + mariadb (15.1) + php 8.3

Haha, that’s interesting. Maybe try to turn it on?

It’s also true that I’m on a MacBook, so maybe that’s also affecting it. Anyway, I’ll still try to reproduce it, and will let you know.

Best regards,
Matej
