WAIT: Unable to Associate ACF to Heading Custom Tag After Latest Update ("Filter: bricks/allowed_html_tags")

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.

After updating to the latest version of Bricks Builder, I’m encountering an issue with the Filter: bricks/allowed_html_tags. Previously, I was able to dynamically set ACF values for both heading content and custom tag levels (e.g., h1, h2, etc.) directly from the backoffice. However, after the update, I’m no longer able to assign an ACF field to the heading custom tag without encountering an error.

This issue is not limited to ACF fields but also affects dynamic tags in general. The system no longer allows me to use any dynamic data to change the heading tag, which is essential for my use case.

Hi @Jose_Oliveira,

can you try to add a Dynamic tag inside the bricks/allowed_html_tags filter?

Hi @Matej ,

Thank you for the reply.

I’ve already tested prior to submiting the ticket, and if I insert the dynamic tag inside the bricks/allowed_html_tags filter, it does work but only individual ones. I currently have a lot of content with repeaters that I need to assign the custom tags, and if I have to insert them one by one it will be quite lengthy and I will have to repeat for every other website I work on.

Hi,

yeah, that’s a workaround for now. I’m not sure how we will implement the solution/improvement, but we are having an internal discussion about this.

Matej

Hi @Matej ,

Thank you for the reply.

I hope you guys can find a more viable solution in the near future, as it will save a lot of time and headaches for a lot of people. For now I’ll just have to grab each custom tag one by one which will be a bit of a pain.

Thank you for addressing my ticket and hopefully we’ll have some updates on this matter.

Kind regards,
Jose Oliveira
