If a product has limited stock for example, 2 units the user is permitted to click the “Add to Cart” button a third time, but doing so will result in an error. The expected behavior is that the “Add to Cart” button becomes disabled and thus unclickable once the maximum stock level is reached.
Hi Jolia,
Adding the available units to your cart does not itself make the product out of stock. WooCommerce checks the quantity already in your cart and prevents you from adding more than the available stock, displaying a stock-limit notice. The Add to Cart button does not automatically disable at that point.
If you’re seeing a different “error”, please send the affected product URL, a screen recording and the exact error text.
