WAIT: Table of Contents Headings Offset and Sticky

Table of Contents → Headings Offer:
You can only set one value for all desktop and mobile views.

Table of Contents → Sticky:
I have integrated the table of contents into a sitebar and would like this table of contents to always remain in the viewer’s field of view.
I wanted to do this by turning on the sticky and setting the distance from the top, but the table of contents still scrolls normally with the website out of the viewing area.

Hi Matze,
Thanks so much for your report!

Headings: can you explain in more detail what you mean by this? Why should the headings have different tags on mobile than on desktop?

Sticky: This is probably due to your layout, as the sticky behavior of the TOC element behaves in exactly the same way as any other sticky element. Unfortunately, without a live link, I can’t tell you exactly what the problem is.

Best regards,
timmse

Hello,

I sent the link to the page via PM with access details because this page is not yet public.

With regard to the different values required for the upward distance between the linked headings, it would be great if this could be adapted for different mobile devices and desktops due to the different sized headers, so that the most possible content ends up in the viewer’s field of view after using a link without scrolling.

Best regards,
