Hey all,
Not sure if this is a bug, but seeing strange Table of Content functionality. Some of the brick’s TOC elements are clickable and some are not. The element creates the correct list of h2 headings, but not all of them, when clicked, take you to the anchor location.
for example, for this page, Student Teacher Resume Examples | The Career Counter
the “student teacher resume examples” works fine, but the next couple do not. I then scroll down and the “conclusion” works again.
(btw- I know my scroll offsets aren’t working…separate thread)
I can see a problem in the 1.9.9 Bricks version, and it should be solved in the 1.10 beta. Please try to upgrade and let me know if it still happens there.
As always, make sure to not update on a live website, but do it in staging.
to download a 1.10 beta version, go to this link after you are logged into your bricks dashboard. Bricks – Account. There you will be able to download it.
And for your second question, I don’t know the exact date yet, but shouldn’t be far in the future. We are still working on some bugs that showed up while in beta.
Hi,
I just downloaded the production version of 1.10. It seems to have fixed the issue with standard Gutenberg headers, but it’s not working with the RankMath FAQs that are also H2. It shows it in the TOC, but does not scroll to.
Example:
Hey,
I’m so sorry, but somehow I missed this topic
Can you please record a video, showing all steps that I need to do, to recreate this locally with RankMath? I want to make sure I’ve got the same setup as you, so then I can test it.
That’s interesting, as I’ve copied your content to my content and it works fine.
What is the Bricks version that you are using? If possible, can you update to the latest one?
Can you please test without any plugins and custom scripts active? As this is already a live website, you will probably need a test/staging environment though.
I’m running 1.10 as I didn’t have the time to go through and check all of my custom html elements. Figure I’d do that at some point in the future.
I just checked it in admin mode and it doesn’t work there either. I went to my staging site and turned off most plugins and still have the issue
Would be possible to send temporary login credentials to your test/staging website (where we can disable all plugins and custom scripts, and update Bricks version) and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase, so we can take a look?
I think that would be the best since I can not reproduce it locally. And if I can reproduce it on staging, when I can turn plugins/scripts off, that would be awesome.
