I’m testing version 1.11 of Bricks Builder in one of my projects using a staging environment, and during the site integrity check, I noticed that the shortcode stopped working correctly when applied inside a Nestable Tab.
I use the Nestable Tab feature to display dynamic posts, where each post contains an ACF field with a shortcode that should be displayed as the user selects the corresponding brand. This shortcode is generated by a plugin called WP File Download.
I’ve tested displaying the shortcode outside of the Nestable Tab, and it worked normally. The issue only occurs when the shortcode is inside a pane of the Nestable Tab.
Thank you for the help Matej. Now, let’s move on to your questions.
The installation is the same, as it is a replica of the site on a temporary server for testing purposes. Therefore, there are no differences in structure or code.
I ran tests with all plugins deactivated, but the issue remained. The only exception was AT, as I depend on it to use ACF, so I can’t deactivate it. The problem only occurs with version 1.11 of Bricks.
I’ve had a similar issue with an 1.11 installation.
Except SOME shortcodes work; others do not. It’s almost like the shortcodes I used before the upgrade work; and those after the upgrade to 1.11 do not.
Can you check if it works if you use code or/and shortcode element? Just make sure to enable code execution and “Parse dynamic data” for the code element.
Hi Matej, thank you for the feedback. I had already mentioned that I performed this test, but here is what you requested anyway.
As I mentioned earlier, the bug only occurs when the shortcode is placed inside a Nestable Tab.
In the screenshot and the link below, you can see that the same shortcode loads normally in different sessions. In the screenshot, I highlighted the expected behavior in the upper session and the error in the lower session.
I would like to reproduce this issue locally, but I see that WP File Download is a paid plugin, to which I don’t have access.
Would be possible to get temporary login credentials to the staging website and if you can enable theme editing capabilities, so I can try something?
Best if you could send login credentials and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase, so we can take a look.
