I have been working on a page all day, and having made a mistake, I went to recover from a revision, and it says the last one was 10hours ago!

I really do not know what else to say.

Hey @LondonPete,

Hmm, I’ve tried to re-save the page but I still see the revision. What if you try on some other page?
Also, the revision that shows as “10h ago”, was that one actually done 10h ago, or is it just a time issue? Do you see a revision in the WP dashboard for that exact page?
