On mobile, when I click any item in the dropdown menu, there’s a quick blue flash (see video) around the entire submenu containing the clicked item. Can’t figure out what’s causing it. I believe it’s new after upgrading to v2.
it’s an IOS browser default style for tap highlight color so users can see what they’re clicking on. it’ll be happening to all buttons, links, inputs unless you override the color.

Can be worth keeping these styles unless you’re adding your own feedback CSS, like a color change or animation.

I don’t mind the highlight color being applied to what the user is touching. That makes sense for the reasons you describe. I don’t like how it highlights the entire list and the parent item that the list is in.
