Hi, I noticed that the map in Beta sometimes shows this error. It doesn’t happen all the time, but apparently it sometimes expects a map ID.
main.js:402: Map initialized without a valid map ID, so advanced markers won’t be available.

Hello @mikes,
I’m trying to replicate the console error locally, but I can’t.
Can you double check if the map ID is correct in the settings? Also, do you see a pattern, when this happens?
Can you share a link, where I can see it?
Thanks,
Matej
Hello @Matej,
Map ID is required? The problem is that I don’t have any map ID filled in the map element. For this element you state that it is not mandatory. I am using the native Bricks settings.
Unfortunately, I am only testing Bricks 2.0 on a local network.
I see I didn’t add screenshots. Sorry, they are in Czech, but visually it probably makes sense. If I load the page, say, for the third time, this pops up with an error in the console, as I mentioned in the first post.
Hi @mikes,
I’m not sure how I would replicate this issue locally
In the settings, I’ve tried to remove the API key, and I’ve tried to add it, but I could not get the same issue.
Can you maybe copy-paste your map, so I can check it?
Thanks,
Matej
I will try to create a test instance with the latest version of Bricks and replicate this issue, and I will send you some access details for it.
Hello @Matej
After a really long debugging session, I identified the root cause of the problem. I managed to replicate the issue in my sandbox environment: Bricks #7 – SandboxBricks
Once clustering is enabled and the page is reloaded multiple times in a row, the problem appears. I also noticed that when this window appears, as shown in the previous screenshot, the clustering on the map does not display at all.
Let me know if you need access to the admin panel.
Hi @mikes,
thank you for a link. I can replicate it on your sandbox site, but I tried to replicate it locally, and I was unable to do it.
I forwarded this request to the dev that was working on this map feature, if he knows why it’s happening. We will keep you posted.
Thanks for understanding,
Matej
Hi @Matej, I understand. If you need anything, let me know. I’ll leave the Sandbox environment active.
Thanks!
