If you try to open the dropdown in the link above, it will open, but you can never hover over the dropdown content. In fact, when the mouse is moving from the dropdown title to the dropdown content, the dropdown will close.
I’m just using your supplied example.
All I see is “Dropdown V” on a blank page.
I hover over it and a box appears - the content.
I can move to hover over that content with no problem.
Ok. So in your movie you seem to move really slowly from the menu to the dropdown content. If I do the same then yes the content closes before i get there. Answer - just move quicker!
I think it closes because you are outside of the content. As soon as I move my mouse outside my content, then it closes.
Why is your content separated from the menu by so much? Mine are all closely attached so there is no space to cross before you get to the content.
BTW How do you get the gap? I don’t see anything obvious to achieve it.
1- If we put this same dropdown in a nestable nav, the problem will be completely solved. Even if I act slower than what we saw in the video.
2- If you do this normally, the content will be hidden and reappeared, which will not create a good feeling for the users. On the other hand, users don’t know that they have to act fast. So definitely many users will have problems with it.
