WAIT: Header in preview versus not preview mode

Browser: Brave
OS: macOS
Video: Jam

So I have a header, and when I see it in the builder or in preview then it looks fine. But I have it set with no global template on it. So then when it is not in preview mode, it no longer works. How can I keep the settings for my header template, even when on pages where a global template messes it up? Facing the same issue for my footer.

Hi Yasmine,
Thanks so much for your report!

Despite the video, I’m not quite sure I understand what this is about.

You have created a theme style (which has no condition, so that the styles are not displayed in the front end) with which you style your header template? In what way, and why?

Why are you not styling the header itself instead?

Best regards,

Hi Timmse,

When I have my global theme switched to entire website it then messes up the header styling. So I can style the header in the builder and see in preview that it looks how I want (same as editor). But when I then apply the header to my website, the formatting in the megamenu changes.

Its my guess that it is something to do with the global styling. As when I try with the global styling switched on in the builder, I see the same issues. But I am unable to exclude my header from the global styling.

I am trying to achieve my header formatting looking the same in the builder as when applied to the website. In my video you can see that the wrap changes and the divs go to full length.

Hope this clarifies (and apologies didn’t realise my sound stopped working half way through explaining)

Can you please change your styles to inline styles (Bricks » Settings » Performance) and provide me with a live link where I can see the problem?
