I have just noticed that 2.0 version will be released in q1 of this year. I already have website up and running (in elementor) so im not in a hurry to transition to bricks. Should i wait for 2.0 to release or do i build it in the lates 1.X build? Will there be any benefits of waiting?
Build a site now. Bricks smokes Elementor.

Does anyone know what’s gonna happen to existing sites when 2.0 comes out?
Thomas has said it will be a 1-click upgrade, so it won’t be a new theme to install or anything like that, just an existing in-place upgrade.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think bricks 2.0 will be anything other than the current Bricks?
Like any other plugin, we will go from version 1 to version 2, 3 and …
The same as when any other update comes out, pretty much. It’s just an update
There’s nothing special, except maybe a better version of components.
