WAIT: {featured_image} doesn't get rendered in image-element (but does in standard-text)

Bricks Version: 1.8.6

I make a custom template and want to use the featured_image of a post. I added an image element and inserted the {featured_image} in the dynamic data field.
I’ve setup preview in template settings and made sure the post has a featured image. But it doesn’t render and displays: “Dynamic data is empty.”

Now it get’s really strange. If I use {featured_image} inside of a standard text element, the image gets rendered.

Now I’m confused. What’s going on? Am I doing things wrong or is it a bug?

Hi @Tobsen,

Unfortunately, I’m unable to replicate the issue locally. Can you maybe share more screenshots or a screen recording going over your setup so I can and replicate it?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Charaf

The same thing is happening to me.

I am trying to put a dynamic background image inside a div or container without success. However, when I mark the “div” as query loop the background image loads without problems.

Hi @wilson176, interesting I’m not sure what could be causing this as I couldn’t replicate this locally. Can you please share temporary admin access to help@bricksbuilder.io with a link to this thread so I can take a look at your setup?
