Due to the security vulnerability, today I’ve seen myself forced to upgrade all old websites from 1.x.x to 2.0.1
I am in the middle of the process, but, as of now, in 2 out of 8 websites I’ve updated I am experiencing extreme lag, both in the builder and in the frontend.
One of the sites has a Bricksforge long Pro Form. If I deactivate the whole form section, both on the front-end and the builder, the lag disappears.
The other website, the section that “produces” the lag is a looped testimonial card, from a custom Metabox CPT. Hiding the section both from front-end and the builder makes the lag disappear.
In both cases, really weird scenarios that I am not able to link to a root cause. But in both cases it’s impossible to navigate on the page or use Bricks builder at all.
Any ideas?
Just FYI:
I’ve deactivated Bricksforge animations or even Advanced Themer, but they have nothing to do with it.
Both laggy sites are in different hosting environtments.
Please send temporary login credentials to one of the websites and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase.
Ps: In addition to 2.0.1 there is also 1.12.5 as a manual download in your account - then the version jump is not quite so big.
We’ve tested it in two different machines (both Mac and both with Chrome). Could it be related to Chromium?
Here’s a screen recording with what I see:
It’s just on the Contact page, in that case. And if I deactivate the whole section that causes lag (the one with the Bricksforge Pro Forms), it goes smoothly and becomes usable again! The other website I have the same exact issue has no Bricksforge Pro Forms on that page, in case you are wondering.
By the way, thanks for the heads-up about 1.12.5! I’ve just realised this like 30 mins ago. Now all the updates I am doing, for now, are to 1.12.5.
That’s intersting. I tested in Arc, which is using the latest chromium version as the current Chrome: no lag at all. Then I tested in Chrome, and I can see the lag (it’s the same chromium version).
Please send us the access data to the other website without “pro forms”.
Same issue!! i reported to Bricks Builder Support! in my case im using Firefox, not tested with Chrome. The lag is present in backend and the frontend after a while working in the builder. This behavior affects all browser tabs.
Im using AT & ACSS but deactivating dont solve the issue.
It happens in all of my sites with bricks 2.x , in versions 1.9.x it doesnt happen
