Is there a way to show the excerpt with markup entered into the excerpt field. We don’t want to create a custom field to solve the issue. I have tested it in other builders and none of the stript the html markup that is entered into the excerpt field.
Many of our excerpts have links and other markup, i.e. line breaks
This did not solve my problem. It is still not adding the markup to the output.
I added a basic text element and then added {post_excerpt:format} as per your example. I also tried various other elements, but don’t get the formatted text in the background.
This is what is in the excerpt

Hi Esta,
Who’s that Tim everybody’s talking about? My name is Stefan
I copied your excerpt markup, increased the inline style font-size to see it better, added it to a post, and this is what it looks like using the basic text and rich text. I cannot see any difference or issue with it
Can you send me temporary login credentials via private message, so I can take a look at it in detail?
Sorry Stefan for getting your name wrong! I know the feeling.
We have a problem on the dev site at the moment and I’m waiting for our support company to have a look at it. At the moment it double the Bricks content on all pages, but I suspect that there was a change made to the child theme.
As soon as that has been rectified, I’ll create a temp logon for you to have a look at the problem.
