Hi, the excerpt length isn’t working properly with Japanese language.
The excerpt is currently set at 20 words, but it renders a lot more. Check the screenshot.

Can you please provide a screenshot or two of your setup in the backend? Ideally create a small screencast demonstrating and explaining your setup. That’d make it a lot easier to understand and reproduce.

is your site language correctly set to Japanese? This is necessary for the wp_trim_words function to work correctly.
From the documentation:
This function is localized. For languages that count ‘words’ by the individual character (such as East Asian languages), the $num_words argument will apply to the number of individual characters.

Hi André!
The website is in English, but using WPML to translate it to a few other languages, Japanese being among them.
Maybe this should be taken into account with the WPML integration that’s coming

The issue is still present with Bricks 1.9.1.1, WPML 4.6.6 and String Translation 3.2.8
