WAIT: Errors trying to edit a template or page in Bricks using ACPT repeater

Hi, I am seeing some Wordpress errors when I try and edit both Single Post template and a Bricks Page. Both these use some ACPT repeater fields, but are very basic as only just developing them.

I can create both and they look ok. It’s only when I go back and try and edit them in Bricks that I get the error and am unable to access either - making it difficult to fix.

Error is :- Deprecated: strip_tags(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home/alan/Local Sites/ssoa4/app/public/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 2270

Has this been seen before?
I can move to a public site if you need access.

Created a test site with just Bricks and ACPT … here ACPT won’t display any menus at all, so unusable.
Issue raised with ACPT support.

[Please describe this bug in as much detail as possible so we can replicate & debug this bug]

Hi @alanj,

Yeah this seems like an issue related to ACPT so let’s see what their team says. But yeah having access to the site to diagnose this further just to make sure would be helpful  Please include this forum thread’s URL in the email.

Hi,
After much testing I have narrowed the issue down.
It seems to be caused if you have a Repeater field that uses the Date field type.
This then causes fatal errors when using ( editing or viewing ) the Single Post Template.

The solution, for now, is to roll ACPT back to v1.0.189. Anything later causes the errors.
