I’ve noticed since updating to 1.12.2 that there’s been far more instances of the editor not reflecting changes I’m making until I refresh the editor. And as is my usual experience, the refresh within the editor never seems to do anything, it requires a refresh of the entire browser tab to show the changes I made. This is an irritating issue because I can’t quite narrow it down to a reproducible set of steps yet.
I’ve noticed this seems to be more common when I’m changing variables, however this is not always the case. The annoying part is this seems very random, I haven’t been able to reproduce this consistently yet.
Initially I assumed this was a “me” issue but I have tried different computers and different browsers too but still see the same behaviour occurring. I did take a quick poll in the Facebook group to double-check this as well and several people have noted that they too saw this behaviour change in 1.12.2, so I think this is more wide-spread. To my surprise though I haven’t seen this reported yet in the forum, so I wanted to go ahead and make this post even though I completely understand that it’s not much data to work on yet.
As I uncover instances of it while working inside of Bricks editor I will try to record it so that you can see me changing CSS values but that the editor doesn’t show it until a full restart. In the meantime, hopefully this forum post will get the conversation started for others who have been noticing this too.
I should note that there are no added Bricks-related plugins installed, it’s basically pure Bricks along with WS Form and Meta Box and a few others that I have on all my client sites.
