Hi,
sometimes(!) my Elements are duplicated in the backend area. Any idea where this is coming from and how to fix it?

I have seen the same thing happen before.
I had a similiar thing it happen once back in November and reported it via email with a video and login credentials. I had 2 rich text elements the same and if I deleted one element the other was deleted. One was in a container and the other was outside of the container, but in the same section. If I highlighted one in the structure panel, the other one was highlighted too.
I have seen it another time, but I can’t replicate it.
Hi Marco,
Thanks so much for your report!
If the video had sound, it would be a bit easier to follow, but I think the problem is the same or at least very similar to this one: WIP: Nestable Elements: render inconsistencies builder vs front-end - #2 by timmse
I can reproduce it if I duplicate a section (or container) and then delete it: it is removed from the structure panel but remains visible on the canvas, right?
Best regards,
timmse
Hi Timmse,
no, the problem isa little bit different: when I add a container (haven’t tested blocks, sections, divs yet), then sometimes(!) these elements get re-produced, means: instead of one new container, I have two new containers with the same content showing up on the backend and frontend! It’s like if there is a ghost container of the original one. If I try to delete this “ghost-container”, the original one is being deleted as well.
This is very nasty and makes it nearly impossible to continue to work on that page.
Did you enable the option “Add Element ID as needed” in Bricks Settings (Dashboard)?
Yes, it is enabled. Not good??
Yes, all good. Just trying to replicate the issue here but I can’t.
Are you using any third party Bricks extensions?
Okay, we had the same problem some time ago. Can you explain exactly how you created the container? Did you perhaps save it as a template and then insert it into the page?
Can you please send temporary login credentials to help@bricksbuilder.io, a link to this thread, and information on which page we can see one of these “ghost containers”?
I simply insert them (no templates). I deleted all these sections, but once the problem occurs again, I will mail you the login link.
Has there been a fix for this @timmse as I now have a similar issue. If i delete one it deletes both!
Hey @richardp ,
The issue should be solved in Bricks 1.9.9 (stable). If you are still experiencing this problem, please send us access data, info where we can find it, and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io
Thanks, to update, i have found that by deleting the elements and adding them back in has fixed the issue
