Given a section whose background image I set from an ACF field. This works fine, but if I set it so that on mobile resolution (e.g. 767px) a different photo should appear (which does not come from an ACF field), that image does not appear on the frontend — the desktop image remains.
I tested it: if on desktop I don’t use an ACF field for the image but select one from the Media Library, and then choose another one for the mobile resolution (from the Media Library), the image swap works correctly. It only fails when I set the image via an ACF field.
UPDATE: The image swap works on the ID level, but not on the class level. On the frontend, the configured image flashes for a moment, but then it is immediately overwritten by the image defined in the ACF field.
I can (almost) replicate the same issue as you have, but for me, it does not “flashes” like you mentioned in the update. I’ve selected the ACF field for desktop, and directly from the media file for mobile view.
Can you share a link to the website, where I can see this flash and that I can inspect the generated CSS?
You can also copy-paste the element here, so I can test it locally.
I wouldn’t share the developer URL of the website out of consideration for the client, sorry. Could I perhaps send you a PM?
I made a short screen recording that shows the flash between the two images (from 9s). This happens at the class level; the image swap works well at the ID level: Zight Recording 2025-11-28 ...
understandable . After watching a video, I think it would be best if you could send a link and temporary login credentials (if possible) to your installation (could be staging if you have it) to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase, then I ca take a look.
If you prefer not to share login access, then please include a screenshot or two of your relevant settings.
