Uploading sets of custom fonts on a mainly fresh install leads to doubled, trippled or even more entries.

What can I say?
Yes - I installed the fonts using the Bricksbuilder frontend, so I guess there is only a straightforward way possible?
1.) yes , do you have specific guesses?
2.) woff2 and woff
3. free libraries, no licensed one
What was your font source? (There are some differences by the files).
Can you please test two things:
1: Try a font from https://webfontloader.altmann.de/ (latin not ext or a variable font)
2: Try the script from Matthias if you get the same result / failure. https://www.altmann.de/blog/code-snippet-eigene-schriftarten/#sourcecode
There are some tricky things with webfonts. See the about section in the webfontloader. 
I can give you one example, shown in the picture:

Now I installed Roboto and the same drama ;-(
Regarding the script: this is Oxygen, right?
No the script works for Oxy AND Bricks.
Tried this font on my 1.6 and it worked with first try.
Do you use any special plugins or do we talk about a clean fresh “Bricks only” installation?

Reminder protocol:
You see there how it adds fonts in a shown clean installation and on the one hand they are somehow created twice and on the other hand the styles but not rolled out.
It can’t be the font itself (tested the same one).
I also want to check the video, but it expires, and I can’t access it.
Instead, kindly check my solution Yabe Webfont; it even allows you to bulk upload the files. No FTP and snippet/script is required.
