Hello,

After updating from version 1.9.1.1 to 1.9.2 Wordpress crashed with the “A critical error as occurred”. Nothing worked. I had to restore the backup to get things back to it’s initial state.

Has this issue been reported? How can I overcome this?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Pedro

Hi @pfaguilar,

Thank you for your report. Can you please check the server error logs to see what exactly caused the critical error?

And could you please create staging clone of your website and share temporary admin access to help@bricksbuilder.io with a link to this thread using the same email you used to purchase Bricks so we can investigate this.

Hello,

Since I made a full restore I can´t get access to the error log. I can create the staging clone and then upgrade. Or I just give the credentials. Which one is better?

Thanks for your reply.

I did things a little bit different.

I made the staging, deactivated Bricks Child Theme. Then I activated 2023 theme. Then upgraded Bricks main theme. I then swapped 2023 with Bricks Child theme. All went well without crashes.

Anyway, I got an error message in the logs:
[Sun Oct 22 13:28:21.025480 2023] [security2:error] [pid 3819095] [client 46.189.246.87:0] [client 46.189.246.87] ModSecurity: Warning. Thanks in advance.

Hi @pfaguilar, Yes please having the credentials to the staging environment would be helpful

You can share temporary admin access to help@bricksbuilder.io with a link to this thread using the same email you used to purchase Bricks.

Hello,

I’ve sent the email.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Pedro Aguilar
