WAIT: Can't save code elements or Bricks settings

I’m trying to work in 2 sites running on Bricks today, and both have the same issue. Both are on v.1.9.9.

If I try to save a change to an existing code element, the Save icon keeps spinning endlessly. I am able to sign the code, but not save. I have tried removing everything but the script tags and it still will not save. The only way to save is to delete everything inside the code element, uncheck “execute code”, or delete the entire code element. Basically - nothing that requires a signature will work.

I also cannot create a new code element - it gets hung up on signing and will never sign. I have tried regenerating code signatures since that seems related, but this did not help.

In some cases, I am completely unable to save any changes to a page if there is a code element present. If I delete the code element, I can save with no issues, but with the code element present, nothing will save.

On one of the sites, I cannot make any changes to Bricks settings either - if I click Save on any of the settings tabs (even without making changes) it hangs forever, same as trying to save a template.

I saw this issue which is very similar, but did not help in my case as I am not using Metabox. I did try deactivating all plugins on one of the sites to see if that helped, but it did not. https://forum.bricksbuilder.io/t/no-bug-cannot-save-template-after-updating-to-1-9-9/23823

Hi @elawrence,

Thank you for your report. You said that you already tried to deactivate all plugins, so that is not the problem.
Next, the best is if you can check for and debug.log logs, and maybe you can find the problem there. Also, when saving, can you check the developer tools console for error logs? Sometimes, there may be a browser extension that would prevent saving, although I doubt that this is the case here.

If nothing will help, and because I can not reproduce the problem, I would ask you if you can send temporary login credentials to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase, and a link to this thread as a reference. Then we can check what is going on on your website.

Best regards,
M
