WAIT: Bricks Builder crashes every few minutes

Browser: Chrome 115.0.5790.170
OS: macOS
WP: 6.3

My website updated to WP 6.3 automatically.
I’d forgotten to disable auto core updates.

Now Bricks 1.8.5 crashes every few minutes.

Hey Yalcin,

thanks for your report.

With just that information it’s hard to tell what might be the issue in your case. We did not notice similar issues or receive similar bug reports yet.

Can you please try to deactivate the installed plugins, re-activate them one by one and see if you can track down a possible plugin issue?

Best,

André

I’m trying to narrow it down… if it helps…

It seems to follow a keyboard “Save” (Cmd+S) after editing a rich text element’s contents in the sidebar (not canvas).

Hey Yalcin,

do you see any errors in the developer console when performing the steps you describe?

Best,

André

Here’s a video… recording timed out, but I also took a screenshot of the aftermath.

After much testing, it seems Advanced Themer may have been to blame. After today’s Advanced Themer plugin update, the crashes seem to have stopped. I will monitor this and report back if persist.

However I noticed that the issue with keyboard saves being ignored persists – while editing rich text content in the sidebar (not the canvas), pressing CMD+S seems to be ignored. Obviously a separate issue.

Hey Yalcin,

thanks for the update. I was just about to ask which builder addon these additional settings are coming from and if you can reproduce your issue without any plugins installed.

Then I read your latest comment.

The “copying text issue” has already been reported here.

Would you be so kind to create a separate report for the keyboard save issue when editing a rich text element?

Best,

André

Hey @yalcin, could you please update AT to 1.2.4.2 and let me know if you still experience memory crashes afterwards? Thanks!

@aslotta I will create a separate report for the keyboard save issue when editing a rich text element.

@maximebeguin I haven’t had a memory crash since updating to AT 1.2.4.2
