User activation - additional email to administrator and user confirmation

Currently in bricks the User activation option allow only the user to activate it’s own account. What I wish for would be to extend that so the email with activation link could be send to administrator to approve the account instead.

By adding 2 additional optional forms the original functionality would be untouched while also allowing it to:

  • send user e-mail that his account waits for approval (without activation link)
  • send administrator e-mail that new account waits for approval (with activation link)
  • send user e-mail that his account has been activated after approval

Hey.
Administrators can already approve users from the users list in WP dashboard.

They can but they have to log in to do it. Being able to customize the automatic new user email through bricks could be usefull ie. by also including activation link in it simplifying the entire process. Alternatively having activation link avaliable as dynamic data tag that could be used inside form element would also work.

But more important I think is the fact that when you remove the activation link from user email he also has no way to know when his account is activated. That’s not needed when the user itself is activating his own account but must have when it’s the admin that does it.

Hey @Erehr,

I understand. In this case, perhaps I suggest trying another user activation plug-in. The current Bricks activation is a simple one, but we will keep this suggestion in our feature requests to see if we gather more feedback before we improve upon it.

Thank you.
