Try Bricks reset - how?

Silly question, but how do I reset my Try Bricks environment or create a new one? Just want a clean install to test things without contamination from all the previous things I’ve been trying!
Thanks

Hi Alan,

I don’t think you can. But you can easily set up local WordPress installations with Bricks because local installations don’t count on the number of your licenses.

I use https://localwp.com/ for this. Thomas used https://kinsta.com/devkinsta the other day and also found it to be good.

The cool thing about LocalWP is that you can create blueprints. That means you install all plugins, themes, create dummy posts, etc., once, and save this installation (the whole environment) as a blueprint, so you can start directly next time without doing everything from the beginning again. That saves a lot of time.

Many thanks. I’ll work something out. It was mainly so I could create a demo and give you access to a problem easily.

I’ve tried localwp - sort of works but has lots of small issues. e.g can’t get ssl to work at all.
DevKinsta - Great on paper as I use Kinsta for hosting so the download/upload of an existing site would be great. But in practise it’s taken me all day to try and get Docker working then many many renoots to get DevKinsta to complete an install. Once done it then can’t download a site and just hangs halfway through.

The good news is I have now forgotten what my original problem was that I wanted to report!

Of course i could just create a new try bricks account …

Cheers
Alan

Hi Alan,

Is a good idea! But the primary intention of the playground is, as far as I understand, trying out bricks before buying. But we’ll see if we can do something about your request.
Creating a brand new trial account is, as you said, another option.

LocalWP: Hmm strange, I have no issues at all on macOS or Windows (10 / 11)
Original problem:  :+1:
