Style Manager Thought

I consider the Style Manager a strong concept and an important feature. From a UX perspective, however, there’s room for improvement (from my perspective).

  • Pop-up vs. panel: As a pop-up, the Style Manager feels less ideal. An off-canvas panel (bottom, right, or left) with freely adjustable width/height would be more practical.

  • Live preview: When making adjustments, I want to see changes directly in Bricks—without reloading the page or opening another tab. A kind of “blueprint” showing all elements with their sizes and styles would be helpful, so changes are visible immediately, even if those elements aren’t yet placed in the design.

  • Window management: The overall concept for managing panels should be reconsidered. Etch’s modular system is a great reference: panels can be freely positioned and resized. Ideally, such setups could be saved as a profile and exported, so they can be reused elsewhere.

Just a thought—perhaps something for the future.
