Star Musicals Press - a website for licensing musical theatre scripts

Hey all,

please have a look at this website I made for a composer of children’s musicals. Let me know if you see any way of making it better or more appealing to the target audience. The target audience is people looking for scripts for their school classes or theatre groups.

The website is made with Bricks Builder and cached with WP Rocket.

Looks really nice, and loads very fast!

The only thing I would add to the menu is the home page. I know the logo links you to the home page, but don’t make me think.

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll consider adding ‘home’ to the menu.

Love the hero! It looks inviting and playfull. There is an accessibility issue that could be fixed easily. See:

The footer could be improved, placing copyright and design below in a subfooter and using the footer for more info about the company. The logo in the footer is not responsive, if you click on it, it doesn’t lead to the top logo. Just some examples of things I spotted. Overall I really love the feel!

Two possiblities:

You add a « home » in the menu and you unlink the logo

Or you make the logo much bigger: I didn’t see it before reading the renem ‘s post

Thanks for the feedback. I have added a “home” in the menu now. I’m just curious, why would you unlink the logo?

It is an unwritten law to link the logo to the homepage.

Something I learned years ago: do not have two links to the page B on page A. For better SEO.

If you have two links your visitors will click on one off both links and, later, may be on the other. So it divides the trafic to the page.

Do you have some sort of source for this? I’m quite into SEO myself, and I have never heard anything about linking to the same page multiple times being detrimental to the overall SEO of a web page.
