Some Widget are Bad for SEO

As we have seen over time, speed is an important factor, although not the only one.

There are others such as a correct structure of H1, H2, etc. that influences, especially in e-commerce and/or web articles.

There are some elements that do not allow us to establish if we want something to be a title or not.

I detected this problem now that I am adapting a website in which I receive comments in the posts and I see that there are many unnecessary h5 that can impact the positioning.

The “comments” widget allows users to comment on an article or product, however it also generates H4 or H5 “tags” which have a negative impact.

Suppose I have a useful article on “shoes”.

Then from there they come off “how to use shoes” “shoe sizes” “why use shoes instead of tennis” etc.

however if I have 10 comments from “anna” “Sandra” “jesus” “Jake” etc these become H5.

100% agree that a proper tag structure is also important. By the way, what tool are you using for the heading counts and structure?

Thomas had said that eventually all elements will be nested elements which will give us total flexibility in controlling each’s markup. Slider, Tabs & Accordion were the first. Every elements including basic stuff like icon list will be nested. Then just imagine the possibilities.

Ok but that means nothing We don’t have a date or anything, just a “he said”.

The point is that it is something technical for SEO and it cannot be that an element such as the comments or reviews section affects instead of benefiting.

Thank you for your answers.

By the way, it is an addon that I use for chrome called SEO meta in 1 click.

@RealSousen Yes. There is no date yet. But worrying about heading tags usage for SEO ranking is early 2000s.

It may be that yes, but it is still a correct practice. Until google says that they are useless, I prefer to keep it as it should be.

Also, I don’t think downplaying things is a solution.

I comment because currently I had to eliminate that part of my websites and if it is a negative impact not having good feedback.
