SOLVED: WooCommerce 7.9.0 update errors

I’m using bricks 1.8.3. After updating to WooCommerce 7.9.0 I am getting this message:

Your theme (Bricks Child Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

  1. Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
  2. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.

Viewing the affected template files lead me to seeing that it is the cart.php file that is affected. This is on a development site so not an issue. Is there anything I need to do now or is it just a matter of waiting for an update?

We can either wait for Bricks to release an update or downgrade WooCommerce.

My old article below. The version numbers are different but the idea should be the same.

thanks for the report.

We will update the template files.

Hi guys,
We’ve updated the woo template files in Bricks 1.8.4, now available as a one-click update in your WordPress Dashboard.

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

Best regards,
timmse

Any update on this? @aslotta @timmse Just installed woocommerce on an up to date bricks site and I am getting this

I am also experiencing this issue and getting the same error as @alucas has mentioned above.

Hey @alucas, hey @jessicabujazia,

this is a recurring topic as WooCommerce updates their templates on a regular basis and we have to make adjustments then.

We’ve already updated the outdated template internally. So this will be fixed with the next update.

Best,

André
